My use of metal is two-fold:
1. I used gold leafing "scraps" on my image panel for the bg. Being shiny and my limited photography skills, needless to say, the glimmer and shine is left to your imagination. Gold leaf is gold metal that has been rolled or pounded into micron thinness, but it is still metal. I also used the shade of red "bole" that is traditionally used under gold leaf.
2. the metal coin charm.

This is beautiful, Sallie! Love the gold leafing! I also am so fond of the oriental flavor of your card and have such a hard time doing it. Never would have thought to stamp over leafing! Beautifully done as is all your work!

Fabulous Asian-flavor to your card!! Love how the red in the leafing is echoed in your background, and the ribbon with the coin is simply perfect!

Well, tell me all about how hard it is to photograph those gold flakes. I'm even more impressed, though, that you actually stamped on them - I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to try that. I didn't know, either, about the traditional ground for laying it on; thank you for some interesting knowledge gained as well as a beautiful card shared.
