You might notice that I took a different route when creating todayÂ’s tickle card. As soon as I saw the name Elizabeth Taylor well my mind went all sorts of places. Of course people remember her for her elegant style, her violet eyes, many movie roles, then there were the seven husbands, and of course her love of jewelry. My card is showing her possible reaction when husband Richard Burton presented her with that huge ROCK of a diamond. TFL!

I am so glad you went with the Elizabeth Taylor reference on your darling card!!!! I adored her in her many movies and love her elegant style and was so pleased to make that part of the challenge hoping someone would go that route with their card. You have made a wonderful card inspired by Elizabeth Taylor's elegance. Thank you for making a card inspired by the teapot that was created based on the movie Cleopatra staring Elizabeth Taylor for my teapot challenge.

That is just so much fun, Polly. And I know Lisa was just as happy for Elizabeth to be the inspiration. The golden zigzag behind the banner sentiment is brilliant, it adds a real pop-art feel, along with the different collage elements.

What a fun card Polly. It's fun you went with this side of Elizabeth Taylor. (My main memories of her are that she was married to the senator from my state back when I lived in Virginia.)
Pol, this card is so much fun! Love your lady - she is so cool! Your use of the purple is so subtle and clever. I'm trying to think of an appropriate Cleopatra quote but coming up empty, so I'll just say that this card ROCKS! Love it!

I saw this in the gallery and thought.....woohoo this will be Miss Polly's creation. I love, love, love this my friend. Everything about this makes me smile, right down to the blue-black hair. I spent a small fortune in my day colouring my hair like that LOL. Great card Polly!!
