I'm finding I really like using dies in their negative state, as a shaped hole covering a patterned paper. I've seen a good number of cards done this way that really make a statement and are exceptionally gorgeous. I try to emulate. (That was one of my "Word of the Day" words from several years ago that I've finally gotten to use in my personal everyday life.) This particular Penny Black die called Sun Fire has been luring me into it's manipulative web for a good while now and since Joann offered it on sale I dried the drool from my chin, ordered it and ripped open the package four days later (felt compelled to order the coordinating stamp, too...don't want the die to get lonely). I have so many different ideas swirling through my head on how I can use these. I hope they all work out. So often I find I can picture something in my mind that looks like it's really going to turn out great and then it turns out to be a real dud. Very frustrating. But it's fun trying! I'm happy with how this turned out, but the colors are much richer in person than the photo shows. Thanks for looking.

What a great die and the colors on this are fab. I have tons of dud ideas and purchases but one day I am thinking they are going redeem themselves - there is hope! LOL! I am thinking this die is going to be one you are thrilled with as this card came out wonderfully. Hugz
