A big congrats to Theresa (tjacoby9, the newest Featured Stamper! She has such a fun gallery & I chose THIS to case. I kept the colors (+ added some blue) & the card front die cut, but I used a different big die cut & made a brayered bg instead of using dp.
I made a brayered bg using a rainbow ink pad on a leftover piece of matte coated card stock (it really soaks up the ink) & after brayering it, I masked the center & stamped the edge of Wood Background image with black ink then I sprayed it w/ a matte acrylic sealer because this matte coat paper is a little fussy & I wanted the ink to stay put.
I attached the white die cut onto a second die cut & then some pieces of thick card stock to elevate it above the bg. The greeting was stamped in the lower right & some sequins added for sparkle.
Congrats again, Theresa! Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Julie this card is just absolutely fabulous! I love the hot air balloons and the gorgeous colors in the background!! You chose one of my all-time favorite cards that I have ever made. It's really special to me because it was the first Mother's Day for my sister in law, who gave me my amazing niece, who is also my goddaughter. She is two now, so it's fun to take a look back in time ... I haven't looked at my own gallery in ages!!
