This is for UnderstandBlue's Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. I tried a new technique, Northern Lights. I watched tutorials, but I had bought some masking fluid and thought it was for that technique, but it isn't. Anyone know what technique that is? I am always buying something because I saw someone use it, then I don't use it! LOL I forget what it is for!
So, anyway, this is my first try with the Northern Lights.
I used a newly discovered image of mine again! I have had image for a couple of years, and just recently started using it! It has been a great week of challenges; thank you hostesses for all the fun!

Your Northern Lights are beautiful, Sharon! I use masking fluid for making snow falling. I splatter it on the card stock with a tooth brush before sponging on the sky. When you wipe it off, voila -- snowfall! I think artists actually paint it over an image before creating a background.

This is amazing looking, it has almost an eerie feel to it (but not in a spooky way!). And I have always like that verse.
Like Lois, I've used masking fluid for snow - though I've never succeeded in spattering it. There's an amazing masking fluid resist tutorial in Resources. And I do use mine a lot as a mask, too, epecially for little bits and pieces when cutting a paper mask really wouldn't work.

You sure did a fabulous job with the technique. Who would know it was the first time? With this image, the lights, and the verse, this card almost gives me chills...heavenly ones.
