This is an upcycling of a couple of things that were fails on their own. The base layer was one of my attempts at Kelli's challenge, I simply trimmed it to size, added some stencilling with black ink and distressed the edges.
My idea behind the butterfly panel was to have the butterfly emerging from an image transfer of an old dictionary page, for Lydia's recent MIX challenge. The butterfly was stamped on watercolour paper, embossed and coloured with Brushos. But when I stuck the image transfer on and started peeling it back off the butterfly, it just looked a mess. However, cut down into a rectangle like this, it works. I matted it on black and added a few sequins.

This one sure didn't fail. It is awesome in every way. I really like how you used the Swallowtail and the background is great.
