In Northern Michigan, preparation for deer hunting season has already begun and the men in our family will head deep into the woods to build blinds and set up camp. Bow hunting is preferred. Our deer population is high and venison has been a staple in our households for years.
I made this card to send off in the pack of a loved one as he leaves for his first of many hunts.

What an amazing winter scene, so beautifully drawn.
We have a managed deer herd in our local park, which is one of the biggest city parks in Europe. I always wonder what they do with the deer that they cull - I'd like to think that they end up as venison.

I can't get enough of your snowy cards. I love these woods and the snow lying so still and peaceful. I am sure your loved one will think it is awesome, as I do.
