I made this CASTLE-card for the 6th birthday of my granddaughter.
Originally I started with this pattern: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/104990235037151105/
for the front of my card and made a little box (the castle walls).
The second part is made with a rectangular piece of cardstock divided in to parts.
The upper part is hanging on the merlons of the castle, comes out under the walls and extends to make the pop up for the grass, the little princess and one of her cats and her carriage. (see one of the little photo's)
The roof of the towers is made with little pink punched circles .
The walls of the castle are made with a Marianne Design embossing and cutting die: DS3403.
The Merlons of the walls are made with a Queree punch: QU002
The brown paper for the doors is scored with the Scor-Pal.
I used a sort of book page binding system for attaching my punched grass strips-princess- cat and Carriage.
I designed the inner wall so I could write my personal message on the backside and hide more cats .
You can mail this card in a normal envelope as you can flatten it by remove the inner part of the castle.

Oh goodness, I can't believe that the door even opens! And there's one of the castle cats inside. Thanks for sharing all the details. It seems hard to believe it will fold flat - that's a bonus.
Such a beautiful castle card, I'm sure your granddaughter will cherish it always. A very creative use of texture and design. Thank you for entering it in our Classy Cards 'n Such weekly challenge this week.
