I used one of my ink smooshed backgrounds that I created for Day 1 of the Background Check OCC. Then i tried Kristina's technique of making my own Cover plate using regular dies. It's tricky, because you have to think about the edges so you don't have pieces separate from the whole. You also have to use dies that don't have a lot of inserts of cut outs. I couldn't find many that fit the criteria.
I refuse to acknowledge that summer is flying by, but I still decided to start on some Christmas cards. SO, since I'm PLANNING ahead, I'm entering this into the SSS Monday Challenge (Make a Plan). I also don't tend to use ribbon/twine, etc. very often, but SSS Wed Challenge is all about adding some sort of thread. And this needed a little something. So I wound some of the silver metallic DMC threat unevenly around the background behind the sentiment block.
AND the Work It Wednesday theme this month at SSS is Die Cutting, so I'm entering there, as well!
