I made this for Bev's DTGD15TexasGrammy challenge. I have been going back to my roots for my challenge projects. this year I reached into my spare die cut stash this morning and found the scalloped rectangle frame and chickens and decided to create a simple framed scenic background for the chickens. I pierced around the frame to add a country touch. I added the three butterflies to bring another element of dimension to the scene along with another touch of orange to match the birds.
I sketched in the grasses with a marker and sponged in the brown dirt spots and green grassy areas using mini applicators. I added the tiny dots of flowers with a marker. I added a tiny bit of dirty spots to the ground area using a stamp from a retired SU set called Itty Bitty Backgrounds. Does anyone remember it??? I used that set like crazy for years and dug in and found it this morning for my dirt!

Nice scene!!! I always love it when you sketch in your grasses! That's so impressive. It doesn't look so repetitive as when you use a stamp. The Itty Bitty Backgrounds is one of my favorites! Wish they'd make a Bigger Bitty Backgrounds!
