I merged my inspiration images together for these 3 cards. I really enjoyed how vellum was used on the sailboat, especially since sailing is so common here in the Pacific Northwest. (Any card with a sailboat theme will be easy to give as a gift!) But I also loved the woven plate, especially because it isn't perfect and would give me a chance to continue working with the textured paste. Weaving paper has always been a favorite, I distressed my strips with scissors first to add texture. It was really fast to do!
So... I decided to go with the "celebrate life" theme, because whether we're sailing, or dealing with the imperfect 'woven' challenges of daily life; Life is Definitely Worth Celebrating!
Please join us on IC504 where we are getting artsy this week! We challenge you to be inspired by an image, and to create something brand new and different in your own style! Honest, it's so much fun!

Audrie

Oh this is so pretty! Love the simplicity of the design... the weaving is front and center and just beautiful!
