This week us t-potters are remembering Beatrix Potter. come and join us. I brought a little friend named Twinkles. He is always light on his feet and skipping around. Plus he wears a tiny little bell around his neck in case he gets lost.
He always learned to be kind and this little neighbor boy wanted to come and give ol' "Midnight blues "...his coat is so shiny and black at the right angle it looks bluish...and he wanted to give him this big apple, but ol Midnight isnt around, so little twinkles is going to go look for him. He is smiling as he thinks ol Midnight isnt far and visiting another friend by the stream and if Twinkles finds him, as Ol' Midnight has been lost before, Twinkles also gets a little treat of fresh alfalfa sprouts.
He is in a little book al about kindness and friendship open on that page.
I am just sending a big TY to whomever the t-potter is for being a great knd angle as our group is so good for being. I am so proud to be with this lovely group.
I had a label die and used it for the book base and just cut the 2 sides off, used the londonberry papers for the bg, which worked so well for this nostalgic story look, used the die to make extra paper lines, by tracing its edges and sponged the edges, and then just easelized it...he-he new word.
Thanks for the visit...:0)

Darling card! Lovely, vintage-look papers and your sweet little Twinkles is adorable! Like your story. Also like how you creatively modified your label die cut to create the book.

What a really lovely touching write-up, Wanda. It made me smile and almost cry at the same time. Your book layout and the easel format are perfect together. I liked your mention of Twinkles little bell. When we were on holidays in France last month, the place we camped for the second week was up in the mountains, and on a slope opposite the campsite there was a small flock of sheep with their little bells tinkling away.

New word indeed, but is as friend once said when we played scrabble and was challenged by her hubby she said if I can use it in a sentence it is a word---LOL. Really sweet card ---love all about it and yes someone will be lucky to get your card and also congrats for being in favorites---that is neat.
