For this week's WTUI challenge WT542 ~ Ah, Space .
I'm hoping to have time to make another card for Toni's challenge, but with my Brusho background and embossing, this is my first go...
It's also Lynn's last week as hostess over at CCEE Stampers, since next Thursay will be a new month. She's asked us to mark the fact that July 31st is Harry Potter's birthday. This was tricky for me as I don't really use digital images and certainly didn't have anything suitable - I had to go for a white owl and approximate (though my gems are more red) house colours!
Actually, I have to confess it was meant to be a shaker card...but by the time I'd realised I'd forgotten to insert any acetate in the aperture, it was way too late to start pulling it apart.
I used Brushos on wet watercolour paper for the sky, and then gold acrylic paint and a stencil to add the stars.
I cut the oval aperture in the black card and then embossed it; edged it with a gold pen, added some little red gems and popped it up over the base, after sticking the branch in place. I added my owl and a birthday wish

Love the black and white!!! (Wish I knew what the WT challenge is, but, alas, it's not up yet!) I love the red rhinestones on that wonderful embossing folder!

Sabrina this is so stunning. The Brushos for the BG are so perfect! I have only used mine once and really need to get them out and play more because there are so many fun possibilities and this card is just proof of the fun we can have with them. Very beautifully done.
