It is my pleasure to be your Color Challenge hostess this week, and I've chosen two of the new Stampin' Up! In Colors, Mint Macaron and Tip Top Taupe, along with an old favorite, Rose Red. The dessert option is to use ribbon on your card.
A casual friend of mine surprised and delighted me by giving me a gift that she bought when she was in Italy. She saw a woman making bobbin lace and thought of me! The gift was a beautiful hand-turned lace bobbin. To thank her, I made this card, and I'm also giving her a lace bookmark that I made.
I tried something new this week. I roughly figured out what size I wanted my ovals to be and drew them with my Silhouette software and then used my Portrait to cut them out. Worked like a dream! Woo-hoo!
This card is also for the current Sweet Sunday Sketch. I took some liberties, but you can still see the inspiration I got from the sketch--at least I think you can!
Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week!

How lovely to be remembered by your friend with such a wonderful gift. She will love this card. I love the RED embossed bg, and that sweetie jumping rope with the RED and white twine.
