I wanted to try the salted bg technique, but it just didn't seem to work. I sponged the paper with salty oceqan and misty mauve and then spritzed the paper with water and sprinkled with some fine and some coarse salt. It was a fairly humid day and the paper took a long time to dry, but I didn't really get the results I wanted so I covered up most of it with the fancy square. Stamped the sentiment and added some sequins and also a large flower, which is for the S2S15DD challenge to use up some of the store bought flowers in our stash.

It turned out to be a lovely card! I don't have much success with that technique. But it is a great BG for your card. Gorgeous flower and die cut panel.

As you learned, Ina, that salted bg can be tricky since it requires so many things to be "just right". I've done it with watercolors. Your card is NOT a failure in the least.....it is beautiful!

Ina this looks fabulous. I have had mixed success with salt, I find it doesn't work so well in hot weather, the longer everything takes to dry, the better. Regardless, your card looks terrific!!
