For Jeanne's MIX130 You Crack Me Up challenge. It's lovely when I can combine a regular daily challenge with my own goal of inking un-used stamps - I used 3 birds from an IO cling set for this. And as a bonus, it reminded me of our holidays in France, when we spent a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing day on a bird reserve. We saw storks in the wild, and so many different waders...
I pretty much followed the Faux Barnboard tutorial, except that I used green acrylic for the first layer, instead of adding re-inker to white acrylic. I did emboss the whole thing with a wood-grain ef when it was dry, just to add a bit of extra interest, and edged it with some brown acrylic.
However, with my pencils and distress inks on the main panel I have used several different media ;-).
I layered my image panel on some green Bazzill with distressed edges, and added a word die cut from kraft and embossed with clear EP. I think I need to add a couple more of these to my collection!
