Again, Muse:ChristmasVisions presented me with a beautiful inspiration card (this one by Betty Wright) and, again, I struggled! Grrrr! One of the details on Betty's card that I loved was the art deco-y background that was funky and fun. I didn't have any stamps that I could use to achieve the feel of that stamp, so I used the savvystamps twisty border stamp I have. I think this made the card fussy rather than funky.... Alas, I do really like the effect of the mercury glass cardstock that comes in a pad from Michael's - there's plenty left so I know it will make future appearances on my Christmas cards!

This is beautiful! I love the gold embossed stamped border you chose. Mercury glass cardstock? I was actually trying to figure out which technique you used to achieve that cool texture on the trees until I read it was card stock. Beautifully done! Wonderful Christmas card! Thanks so much for playing along with Muse Christmas Visions!
