Peggy's color for this weeks challenge are Tempting Turquoise, Smoky Slate, and Crushed Curry, with the dessert birthday! Hope it is ok to use black as a neutral?
My first time trying the faux tile technique with glossy accents! Not very happy with the result. Lots of cracking as I tried to place them on the bg.
I first made a stencil of the father/son fishing and then sponged the colors into place. Wanted to have a few waves so added heat embossing with white embossing powder.
It seems the glossy accents changed the color very strangely of the father and son. They were both sponged in a very light black/grey and look at the colors that have come up after applying the glossy accents. Could it be a bit of the bg colors changed the black?
Will have to try this again but with a smaller image! TFL!!

I agree with Nancy ... looks like a GREAT misty view through a window! Well done! I thought Sallie's card was "ethereal" and I think this one is, too. Like a Heavenly image.

Well I echo all the other opinions about the stenciled image - I like the final result- it does have a wonderful misty look to it - great work- and black is absolutely fine as a neutral
