OK, if I had it to do over again, it would be different, but with our Waterford Balloon Fest this weekend, I laid down the patterned strips and I saw a Hot air balloon. Have you ever seen one up close and person IN THE AIR? Well, neither have I, but if I ever do, I will expect it to look like the one on the left.
I dry embossed the piece on the left and the center of the small balloon and used corrugated cardboard on the outside edges of it. Center pieces are also embossed.
Sentiment is computer generated and glued on. Thanks for looking.

This is awesome! I have had the pleasure of riding in a hot air balloon and your balloon looks perfect! I like that you embossed the balloon parts and used the cardboard for the outer sections. Very fun card!

I absolutely love cards with hot air balloons. I love the textures in this card right down to the corrugated areas of the balloon. I think the color combination you chose is fun too!

Carol this is wonderful. I love all the texture from the dp to the embossing. Your balloon really is well defined by using the corrugated paper. Our neighbor used to have his own balloon and it would go over our house all the time and low. So I know what they look like up close all right. He wanted to give DH & I a ride........DH took him up on it, I did not!! DH loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I lived in Temecula, CA, we saw hot air balloons every Saturday and Sunday mornings! They were so colorful and beautiful....a sight one doesn't forget too easily! I love your embossed and corrugated balloon! Brown is not a familiar color with those balloons, but you've created it to look great!

Wow Carol this is really cool! I love the piecing you did on the balloon as well as the dp you used for the curves on the card.
