Today's Sketch Challenge (SC549) looked really interesting so I gave it a try. Actually my card is pretty easy...
...except for the part where after die cutting all the sections, I had to put them back together & make them fit inside the matting die. Yep..not that part. The bg on top was already made & in my stash so that was easy. It's a water color w/ Brushos & splattered w/ gold acrylic paint. The gold embossing of the stars & splatter was easy...but not the greeting. I had to do a lot of masking to combine two greetings, so not that part. And not the part where I accidentally hit the spoon sitting in the jar of embossing powder & it went everywhere...definitely not that part. But die cutting the gold star which just happened to be the exact right size of the original image was easy
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

This looks wonderful, especially the background! I still haven't ordered my brusho or colorburst. Can't decide which to buy. The stamps you used really go with these curves beautifully! Love the gold embossing - not the spilling it everywhere part though. Your description sounded like my card making experiences every now and then.

OMGoodness, Why didn't I think of something like this!!! I scratched my head all day! This is perfect for the sketch, NOW I can see it! LOL!! Very fun, colorful card! Love it!!
I tried using my curved border dies but could quite get it to work right. It may be that I hadn't turned the sketch, duh!
