Sometimes, for me, there is that one photo that must stand alone. That is the case here when my granddaughter texted this. While searching for just one layout to lift (so many, hard to narrow down) I chose Sewflakes "Stories that Matter" because it was perfect for this one photo, clinching the quandary of what photos to use for this "Scraplift" challenge.
I started with the Vintage Paris paper pack and used the doily gray for the base. The pale pink script strip was run through the Big Shot with the script embossing folder. Both strips were destressed, as well as the delicate floral paper behind the photo. To give a subtle bit of texture I used light pink embossing powder with the background stamp randomly (may not show up in the photo). After putting everything down, the flourishes, the title, the journaling, I pondered what else it might need and decided on the little stamped symbols - time, home, dog. And found these buttons in a bag of unknown origin.
I hope you can see the inspiration I used from Sharon's beautiful page. It is so inspiring to be able to browse the talented layouts in our SCS gallery!

What a touching photograph! It works so well with your title. I really like your hand written journalling. The little icons are perfect. Very nice page. TFS
Great scraplift, right down to the flourishes! I agree, sometimes a photo has to have a whole page to itself, and this one certainly qualifies! This is such a wonderful photo, and you have just showcased it beautifully, and delicately. Just precious! Thank you for taking part in July's Scraplift Challenge!
