This is for Robin's terrific Dare to Get Dirty Challenge. I hope you are a fan club member so that you can join in all the fun.
I love this background, but believe me it was a complete fluke!! I am very happy that I always colour up a full A4 sheet of cardstock, which means I have two more backgrounds just like this waiting for me...yay.
I started with Izinks, move onto Brusho's and finished off with distress ink. I also used enough water to sink the Titanic!
The mermaid was stamped then fussy cut. She is coloured with distress inks, I banged a crackle stamp all over her to give a scaley effect.
The bubbles and sticks are handdrawn with a micron pen, as is the doodled border. Walnut stain distress ink was scrubbed on around the edges.
Thank you for looking and I hope you are having a great DTGD week. If you are already a Fan Club member and want to join in the fun (and to find out what this challenge is all about) just click Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Love this image and your very cool bg! I am glad you have more of this bg too - can't wait to see what you make next with it. I tried to do a bg like you today but it didn't work out anywhere as cool as yours. I did get my new bird to change into a fish though. Fab card Susie. Hugz

Oh, sis, this is gorgeous! I love the beauty of the card and this lovely mermaid (minus the mouth - hehe!). And what gorgeous colors! I am always delighted to see your water droplets too - they are amazing! But I did giggle at the title, since I remember you shared what Geoff said about you - LOL! Love you dearly, sis, and I love your work - always! Squishy and big hugs!

Susie, the crackle stamp on this is especially wonderful - on top of all the rest of it. If you used that much water - it's just as well that mermaids can't drown ;-).
