Thank you for a great story and a fun challenge Sandy.
I had a great time making this for a fellow Teapotter, knowing it was Tickle a Teapotter week....unfortunately disaster has struck since finishing it and taking the photo!!
I have been watching a few card making youtube tutorials lately where liquid glue is used. I make 99% of my card using double sided tape and for the other 1% of the time is a glue stick or Crayola white school glue.
I purchased some Tombow mono multi liquid glue. It says that it is both a permanent and repositionable glue. I never use anything that fancy so I should have realised that disaster was around the corner. The image is a digi by Make it Crafty (I think - I can't find it on my computer, my digi files are even messier than my acrylic stamp collection) I printed it twice, one image for the back scene and I cut the other one in half for each side step.
No copics were harmed in making this, cos' I didn't use any. Everything was coloured with Distress inks. Smack each colour onto al foil, squirt a very tiny bit of water in one corner, this will give you a gazillion shades of each colour. I applied the colour with an aqua pen, just wipe the brush tip on a baby wipe before moving onto the next colour. I also did a bit of colouring with Derwent Inktense pencils.
Using the tombow glue, I stuck everything on, took photos, checked that they turned out ok. The card was still a bit tacky so I let it sit on my desk overnight. Fast forward 12 hours and I put the card away...everything sounds good so far....Today I went to open the card so I could check that the little bike didn't need a bit more colour.
I was shocked to see that each fold is now stuck together!!! I was trying to gently pry each layer apart, not with a lot of success, so I used clean wet brush to see if that helped..........yep, I forgot that I used inktense pencils....water makes them spread and spread and spread. Needless to say, I will not be joining the tickle, but I am here at the Teaparty in spirit.

Ah Susie, so sorry for your disaster after you put so much work into this amazing card! What a wonderful scene and the colouring is fantastic. I absolutely love it! I love this style of card.........is it called a double side step?

OH NO, Susie... that's awful. It's such a perfect card for the challenge, and some Teapotter would have loved it. At least we can enjoy it here in the gallery. I can almost smell fall in the air with all the pumpkins and apples.
What a shame! The card looks wonderful from my perspective. Not sure if you ever saw my message Susie...you tickled me a few weeks back. I was having a rather 'poopie' day, and your package really cheered me up! I love that you added all the extra goodies in the envelope...very thoughtful; I have not yet used them, but they are safely tucked away awaiting the perfect opportunity. Anyways, summer is very busy and I haven't had time to participate in awhile; I'll be back in the fall! Your cards are always awesome!

Ah Susie, all of us paper crafters can commiserate! That's what happens when you go high tech. Disaster is only 1 wrong step away! Such a shame because your card scene is so elaborate and detailed. Well, at least u got the photo your stories always make me LOL.

Oh Susie, how sad!! I would be so mad and bummed if I had put all that work into a card like this only to ruin it!!!!
I love your card though...I would have been trying to bribe someone to receive it, heehee!! Except Sabrina can NOT be bribed!
Your scene is so wonderful and your little girl so sweet! Darn that stupid glue!
I only use that particular glue spread thinly on the back of my unmounted stamps, let it dry and then they are always tacky for use on an acrylic block. I store them on a packing tape cover card stock.
Anyway, Your card is just beautiful and I love it mate!

Did I read correctly from Robin we bribing someone to have Susie still send us her beautifully done card? Susie it is still so pretty that glue - shame on it for not sticking like it should. But your card is so beautifully done and the images are fantastic. Great scene you created for this darling farmer girl for the market. We all still love how it looks!

Oh my Susie! Glue of any kind is a disaster waiting to happen IMO!!! I do have that Tombow glue, but have only used it on little areas, so have not had an issue. But I certainly will be remembering your experience with it when I use it in the future!!! Mary (redi2stamp) is correct, send it off anyway. Any creation of yours, glued up or otherwise, is a treasure!!!!! And this is, as usual, is just adorable. Hugs~
