This is a technique that I not only to to practice more, but I need the right paper and real copics! I don't have the right type of images to practice on so I had to download some. I tried using different colors but with my cheap cardstock it just didn't come out well. in the future I will be looking for some stamped images that will work for this and I plan to get some copics.

I am right there with you. I just became a flicker a couple of weeks ago, lol, and I am loving it. I will be be flicking away this summer to get this hair thing down.

Well done for having a go, you are absolutely right when you say you have to get the right paper it is very important.
It took me three years to acquire all my copic markers and it was well worth it, I use them all the time.
There are lots of tutorials on You tube and other sights that teach you how to use them so have fun.
Cheers

I love that you've had a go - well done. The same technique in the tutorial can be applied to pencils, paints and even kids textas (it will look slightly different tho....but still the same principles). Keep practicing. Try breaking the hair down into sections which will help with working out shadows and highlights for each section (but this definitely takes time to learn too). Great start though :-) and I love the colours. Elizabeth
