Today's Color Challenge uses red, navy & a marina/teal color. To tell the truth, I actually finished this Monday but hadn't taken pics yet & when I saw the colors, I thought...hmmm... looks like I lucked out!
I stamped the lighthouse once on Neenah white & again on X-Press It white. The Neenah version was masked & I sponged the sand, sea & sky then stamped the stars at the top w/ white pigment ink. After the Neenah version was die cut, the XP version was colored with Copics & fussy cut to add on top. I used a white Prismacolor pencil & a yellow Copic to add the light rays from the lighthouse. For the large background, I used a mask to sponge the sky & sea & added more stars as before. The header was die cut, punched & the greeting stamped on top. The little swirls from the punch excess were added on the sea as "waves".
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups, Copic colors & the inside are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Oh this is so awesome! Love the scene continuing outside the circle, love the starry night and the beams from the lighthouse! The lighthouse itself shimmers! Beautiful!

This is beautiful! I love the images - and the flourish you used to define the waves in the sea ... also love the topper with the die cut in it... this is all around gorgeous!

That's a great lighthouse, and it's such a great idea to expand the scene out beyond the circle. Beautiful coloring and a sweet sentiment too! Very pretty!
