Thanks for taking a peek at my card! This is the first time I’ve attempted to watercolor florals. I recently purchased this IndigoBlu Poppy Heart stamp with the idea that I would use it for borderless watercolor. I must say it was more difficult than it looked in class!! LOL But, my first one is done and hopefully I will only get better. So the primary stamped image was done in Distress Wild Honey and then I used an aqua pen to move color around away from the lines, one petal at a time. Once the Distress ink started to dry/run out I spritzed some Heidi Swapp Color Shine (Mustard) onto an acrylic block and used that…works just like ink but you get that AWESOME shimmer too!!! Love it. I had no idea what I would do with the image once it was done – but I’ve been dying to use up some of my old DP so I dug out some papers to match – then finally went to my Pinterest board to find a layout (I usually do that FIRST!!!). ugh. I should have looked at today’s Sketch Challenge…I keep forgetting to do that and this image would have been perfect for it. This card is for my Mom and Dad’s 56th wedding anniversary. My Mom’s a cardmaker too…so I try to save my best work for her cards. I hope she likes it. Enjoy your week!!
