This card is for the, CAS330, stars or stripes challenge, 6/22/15. I want to say, I was thrilled, to see the flag on the porch card, by Benzi. My niece had sent me several images, to color, this is one of them. Unfortunately, she only sent two copies. I love this image, and I didn't know the title of it, now I do. I knew as soon as I saw it, that I wanted to do it in mostly black and white. I put my black bg panels, and a white panel, through my cuttlebug, in my stars ef. Now , I colored the flags stripes, with an old red bic marker, and the star bg, with a bic, navy blue marker. I colored the light on the porch, with a gold marker, and a yellow marker. I smudged the house, with a grey marker. I colored the shrub, and flowers, to complete the card. Now, I also made the card, using old red cs, and navy cs. I sponged the sky lightly, with Adirondacks- cloud blue ink, and the grass, with Adirondacks- juniper. Everything else is the same, as the black and white card. I had so much fun with this card. Thanks for the great challenge, and thanks for looking.

We did the same image. I have had the stamp for about a year and really wanted to use it. I love a country porch with an American flag flying...so patriotic. I see you did the green and I started to do that and changed.
Love your cards!

Marg, love how you colored your images. The hydrangeas(?) are exactly the color of mine that are blooming now. Wonderful feeling of "hometown nostalgia" to your cards.

I am purusing galleries today and wow! What a beautifully created patriotic card!! Your decision to color the flowers and flag but leave the home untouched made for a stunning first and lasting impression.
