I think I have had this bg stamp for 15-20 years and never used it. It was a lot to color! I did cheat and sponged in the bottom part with Scattered Straw Distress Ink and edged with Frayed Burlap. The cowboy was colored and cut out then attached with foam tape as were the logs for my frame. I used a needle to thread the twine in because it was an after-thought. I used a large glue dot to make my wound rope on top.
This guy is heading out early to get those loose strays. He was a friend of John Wayne's BTW...Just thought you'd like to know that! They used to ride together in the old days!
Thanks for looking!

Super western card, Robin! The logs and rope tied corners are genius and I love that you popped John's old friend up for added dimension - looks like he's galloping right into my home.

Love how that cowboy is literally busting out of the frame there. Well done. And the sponging is not cheating, it is a sensible and effective way to color large spaces.

Oh jeepers, that was NOT the image to choose for a quick card, Robin! But it was the image to choose for a fabulous Western look. I'm glad you had an afterthought and added the twine - it looks just brilliant. It's as if he's riding out of the frame towards us.
