Today for Sabrina's challenge we are remembering John Wayne. We are to do a western theme. It is always so interesting when Sabrina has a challenge. she steers us to the technique tutorials. I've had this stamp for along time, and it has never seen ink. Today it was inked....just added a little water coloring on the image. Using my misti, inked it up several times. Using the faux leather technique for the background. I even used some star brads...remember them...to finish the card. TFL

Linda, what a perfect image for today's challenge. Wouldn't John Wayne have been surprised to know card creators would be honoring him today? Your faux leather technique looks super.

There could not be a more perfect image for today's challenge, Linda! Those star brads are the ideal accent for your western scene! Love the faux leather background!

How cool is that - you actually had a John Wayne stamp! You get some sort of bonus for that, for sure. The leather background adds a perfect rugged Western feel. Your colouring, as always, is fantastic. I only have funny coloured star brads left ;-), I've used all the plain metallic ones. It looks as if you pulled out some old treasures to create a new beauty.

How wonderful that you have a John Wayne stamp and your faux leather panel is the perfect background! Did anyone else notice the cute pun you used in your description ... "It is always so interesting when Sabrina has a challenge. she steers us to the technique tutorials" ??? The word "steers" just jumped out at me! LOL
