This is for the Free 4 All Challenge to make a Father's Day card that reflects your father's life. This card utilizes a photograph my mother took of my father and I while we were vacationing at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin back in 1964. I have my arm wrapped tightly around my father while he steadied me standing on a short wall. My dad has always been my encourager, my advisor and my supporter. He is now dealing with dementia and lives far away. I thought a photo might make him smile. My Dad was and always will be wonderful. Thanks for the challenge that inspired me to make a personalized card for Father's Day. TFL .....
UPDATE: My Dad LOVED his card. He said that "it took him back" and he remembered. He thought it was very special and my Stepmom was crazy about it. She kept thanking me. I'll keep this idea in mind for other cards for my Dad.

This is beautiful! As I wipe away the tears, I think of my own wonderful father and how much I miss him. My Mom suffered from dementia in her last years. You and your Dad are in my prayers.

A lovely tribute to your father! It is so hard to watch the person you love suffer that way. I really like the way you have framed the photo and the sentiment you used. TFS

Diane, this card is wonderful! I am so glad it clicked some memories for your Dad! it is so important to do things like that for him. My mom suffered for years with it, but it can be a peaceful time for them! tfs
