This week, since it's a new month, we have a new hostess for the CCEE Stampers - Liz.
She says that as summer is rolling right in, we are to get things rollin' with our favourite brayer technique.
Well, the brayer and I are not best friends - I use it mostly in very basic ways that could hardly be a technique. In my attempt at producing a card I have 2 discarded brayered skies, one Joseph's Coat which might be salvageable, and a failed bouncing brayer. In the end I tried the Serigraph tutorial from the Resources section. I used peeled paint, faded jeans, broken china, and mowed lawn distress inks Stamps are Inkadinkado Meadow and a Verve sentiment; my panel is layered on black, then on white card base sponged with purple and blue.

LOVE this bg - I think your experimenting really paid off. Great technique, look and colors and your card came out wonderful! Now I want to go dig out my brayer. Hugz

Sorry, this was such a challenging challenge. I don't use my brayer much either, so following on the heels of Joann's tool challenge, I threw one more tool in for fun. I love your pretty results on this card. The colors are beautiful and love the white silhouetted flowers and butterflies.

YOU may not think you have done a good job with the brayer, but I LOVE IT!! What a simple and BEAUTIFUL sympathy card! The BG colors are somber but comforting too, and the white pops against those colors!! You got an A+, Sabrina!!

I too am brayer challenged! You have however created a super background for your summer meadow flowers! I love that you used whiter for your silhouettes. This is a beautiful sympathy card.
