Such a fun sketch from Cathy this week. I had been going through one of my pinterest boards where I keep ideas of card sketches or technique. I was inspired by this pretty card I'd pinned a while back. I cut my squares 1 3/8" in the Vanilla and 1 1/2" in the black. I started by sponging the edges of the Vanilla squares in Baked Brown Sugar and stamped the leaves in the same. I added some Crumb Cake spatter on these pieces as well as the back panel and card base. I added narrow framing in black to the back panel also. For the card on the right, I used linen thread with a knot and stamped my sentiment in black. For the card on the left, my sentiment is in Baked Brown Sugar. I stamped the polka dot pieces, punched the banners and sponged the edges. These are hung on a piece of twine and a couple are popped. My butterflies were stamped in Versamark then embossed in Tempting Turquoise. I then punched them out (they are the same shape as the punch but not the same size. I then used my Versamarker around the edges then dipped them into black ep. Some got into the crevices and I decided I liked the look of that too. The butterflies are also popped and the the card on the right, where my bottom right square goes over the thread, I also used a dimensional. More photos on the blog
