Fun colors! I wasnÂ’t sure how well they would work for me, but I think theyÂ’re growing on me. I think the main problem is I have so little gray card stock. I did find a piece of gray so I was in business! Then I just had to create the other colors with a combo of distress inks.
Since I wasnÂ’t doing a floral, the cantaloupe & coral colors seemed like a perfect sunset combo. The big oval was one I had laying around, so I found the big die I used to cut it, put it back in the die & sponged on the colors. After I stamped the silhouette horse with the worn lipstick, I added just a touch of shading w/ a lt rouge Copic & a few stamped stars at the top. I also sponged a small panel w/ the lipstick, marigold, persimmon & some weathered wood at the top then stamped the cowboy garb & fussy cut them. I stamped this again on white & paper pieced the sponged hat & boot on top. I used a frame embossing folder on the large white bg & a stamped fence I also fussy cut.
Thanks so much for looking! Closeups are on my blog: The Write Stuff
