Here is my inspiration for my card:Happy Birthday Set by Veritycards at Splitcoaststampers
I kept the basic flower colors and instead of the detailed dies I made a wax paper resist using an embossing folder.
I ran wax paper through the big shot in an embossing folder. Then I ironed it onto glossy card stock. Then I sponged it with ink.
Here's a tutorial for this technique. Wax Paper Cuttlebug Resist Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Lastly I added the lace and rhinestones.

This is wonderful, Sue! I love your wax paper resist bg & if I could bring myself to dig out the iron (where is it???), I'm sure I would be doing this, too. Such a great look!

Julie, I only know where the iron is because I see my husband use it weekly! LOL

Sue, I can't stop laughing at your comment about your husband and iron. Good one!!! The background you created is wonderful and allows your sentiment to be the main focus. Such a pretty card.
