This is my card for IC495 which was to be inspired by Schweitzer Linen. I only had time to look at the samples and found more than enough there. This is the one I picked:
They are all very pretty, but I used the lilac embroidered napkin. I have several lilac bushes and grew up with an entire huge hedge of them. I love them to this day, so was very inspired by them.
First I stamped my PSX lilac on watercolor cardstock and spritzed it a tiny bit. Then I pierced along the edges with my sewing machine. Next I cut it in half and only used the left half which I glued onto a scrap of green cardstock. I added the scrap of black in the middle, and the burlap to give it a bit of pizzaz.
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with a Spellbinders Petite Oval. I like it.

Lucky you to have several lilacs still - even if it's not a whole huge hedge. I love the smell - I just think they look very untidy for a while when they have finished blooming, LOL. Love your lilac stamp - and the way you have laid it out with the card in such dramatic strips of colour.

I am also a Lilac lover - this is an awesome card Carol! I love the burlap you added, really shows off the purple in the lilacs!! Beautifully done!
