My husband loves to be outside working in the garden especially growing plants that will lure butterflies. So this is a card that represents that. I did however forget it was for him and added pearls. Hmmmm, should I take them off or leave them on? LOL
I used waxed paper when cutting out the leaf dies. I just ironed them onto glossy cardstock and sponged green on top of them. Part way up I sponged blue for the sky with clouds. The ribbon covers where they meet. I added a cut out of the leaves on top of the sponged piece. This paper piece was sprayed with blue and yellow Glimmer Mist. The yellow butterfly was put through the big shot and embossed.

If he likes butterflies and gardens in all their loveliness you can just write in that they are pearls representing his wisdom in appreciating those things great card.

Sue, I agree with mitchygitchygoomy and the pearls of wisdom, and hey flutterbys have bodies!! This is really cool and I love how you did the bottom. I'm not quite understanding what you did (too visual) but it sure looks neat.

Wax Paper Resist Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
Karen, Here's a tutorial on wax paper resist. What I did was use wax paper between my die and paper so the paper wouldn't get stuck in the die. So the wax paper was cut out like the die. I took glossy paper and put the wax paper cut out on it and covered it with a piece of cardstock then with an iron on high and no steam I heated the paper. The wax from the paper goes onto the cardstock and when you ink over it, it shows up. Hope it's more clear than mud. LOL
