My middle son, Ryan, was in an automobile accident in 2006 when he was 21 years old. He was a belted passenger in a car that went off the road into a 9" ditch and right into a tree. Among many internal serious injuries. Ryan suffered a traumatic brain injury and I felt compelled to scrapbook his recovery, mostly for him as he doesn't remember a whole lot of what happened.
This is the first page in Ryan's book.....I made it dark, explaining what happened that afternoon. I have a picture of the car and a picture of where the tree was (Penndot cut it down 2 weeks after the accident). It was one of the darkest, scariest days of my life.

These first 3 pages - the accident, the injuries and the WAIT for him to wake up - now I can see why you did them on dark pages - what a horrible thing to see your child go through - but only by God's grace, did you get him back!
Hard for me to look at this just now....

Oh my goodness...seeing this car must have been agony! I image all sorts of "what-ifs" were playing through your mind.
Thank you for sharing his journey. We want to only remember the good through our scrapbook pages, but you have encouraged us all to document our darkest days and remember how God carries us through them. My prayers to your family. Thank you!
