This is for the CC532 (lost lagoon, vanilla, olive), the MMTPT356 to show our little bit of heaven, and the CT0515 with the tgeme of " keep looking up". I love nature and hiking, especially being surrounded by beautiful trees. Our summer vacations were always to national parks where my husband, 2 sons and I loved to hike. There is even a beautiful park near my work with wonderful trees that I enjoy during my lunchtime exercise walks. The only problem is that when I "keep looking up" at all the pretty birds and leaf patterns, I have narrowly avoided some very close encounters with trees. I have only actually walked into them a few times. To make my card I sponged very lightly over the paper to get a creamy vanilla color for the trees. The stencil preserves the tree color while allowing you to sponge the bg. Since I used distress inks I could splatter a little water on it before removing the stencil for a littel mottled look. I used copics and prisma pencils to shade the trees. I used this stenil once before when the CC included pink... it was a little weird. I was glad to try it again in more earthy colors. This week we are sending our teapotter cards to each other... So much fun ! TFL, Francie

This is beautiful, such a peaceful feel. I remember your pink trees well, in fact just yesterday I was trying your technique of adding colour to the page before using the tree stencil. But alas, mine only ended up in the bin, not even worth a spot in my scrap box. With this new example from you to inspire me, I'll try again!!
