OK this hasn't turned out as nice as I hoped and I now have sand in my lap, stained fingers etc. but it has been fun and I think will be appreciated by the recipient. She has an upcoming Birthday and lives in a typical small seaside town in the UK. Beach huts are other lovingly maintained or a bit worn by the weather so I tried to capture both. I die cut the deckchair twice once in plain card and one with Washi tape on top to get the fabric sections. The sea was made using a stencil and sand was added to the sand paper to mix the colours up a bit. A far departure from my cards with colouring but every now and then you have to leave your comfort zone!

So quaint with the sweet little huts (love the colours you chose for them. The washi tape is fantastic for deck chair fabric and I'm a little in awe of that cool sandpaper beach and swirl water. Wonderful departure, Janine.

Love this Janine. Very well thought out and the little touches you added make it very sweet and personalized. Fun card. Hugz

What a creative take on the sandy challenge. Your chair is amazing. The huts are so cute. Love that stenciled water. Adding sand to sand paper is clever! Great card. I truly enjoyed seeing it. TFS
