This is my third large coloring project. I did this while manning my table at a craft bazaar, I was able to finish the horse and had to do the background later. In the event I competed, this was a common color of a very well bred, expensive competitor, well out of my reach financially, but who says I cannot have one of these fine steeds hanging on my wall in my studio! Line Art by ReQuay at Deviant Art: http://requay.deviantart.com/gallery...Equine-Lineart her lineart is the best equine art I've seen. Though I owned and showed Quarter horses, she focuses on Arabians and some heavier breeds, including her own fantasy breed of semi heavy draft horse, friesian-esque.
Time to complete: guessing 3 ish hours
Biggest challenge - getting the main and tail colors right. I think there's every soft color of copic pen mixed in. I ended up with soft cream and warm greys to get the creamy palomino main and tail of my dreams... I had to factor in my light source as well. ugh, it took forever so it felt, luckily I had all day to tweak it.
