This is for Lydia' s fun MIX121 challenge to use 4 mediums on our cards. I used embossing powder, watercolor paint, perfect pearls and glossy accents. I called this deceptively simple because it honestly takes very little time or talent and turns out pretty well. First, heat emboss a fairly busy bg image with black ep. Then color with watercolor paints. I painted a little strip of watercolor paper to cut the sentiment from and then cut it out of white cs to get a white border. After cutting the image in half and gluing it down with a little separation in the middle, I added rainbow perfect pearls everywhere. There are little punched butterflies out of scraps from the bg popped up on glossy acents scattered accross the card. Even for me, this is really bright. TFL, Francie

It's funny - the bit at the top makes me think of a bowl of lovely juicy pomegranate seeds! I like the idea of using black embossing as a resist, I usually just do it to stop my colours from bleeding. I love the blue flowers.

Oh wow - these cards are getting better and better. Absolutely beautiful. The colours really pop against the black embossing. That background stamp is incredible and I want it!!!

Wow, your coloring is gorgeous on this! Also love this technique and the impressing look from it, much like stained glass. Still can't figure how you got two different widths for the sentiment out of one die, though. The effect is beautiful!

Hmmm I think we need to talk about deceptively easy...I am in awe of your wonderful talent but I am not sure I could do a card as beautiful as yours with all these great images. So pretty!
