This is a card I made for a co-worker who is leaving the company. He has been a real mentor and I will miss his kindness.
The background is painted, stamped and stenciled. I found the vintage image of the sad girl on Pinterest. She was in black and white, so I colorized her with watercolors. The butterfly was cut out of a book on - what else - butterflies, coated with Glossy Accents and popped up. The die cut gears are metal that I purchased on eBay. The red dots are Swarovski crystals. I stitched the picture to the card. The blue background came out of my scrap pile. That was a lucky find.
I already had the background done (I keep a stack of them ready to go) so the whole card only took about 1/2 hour.
