My friend Christine (aka calex) came over recently and brought some of her mixed media products - we made the background for this using blue and green paint daubers, some scraps of script tissue paper (applied with gel medium), and a stencil with embossing paste. I ended up with a great sheet of mixed media background. I've already made and posted one card using a piece of the background - this is the second one.
For this one, I toned down the brightness a bit with gesso and added a bit of sparkle with a Pear Tart spray.
I stamped the grass with Pear Tart and the plant with Library Green. The bird is die cut out of kraft cs and darkened up with brown ink. I die cut a stitched circle frame and added the sentiment.
It's also for the Happy Little Stampers May challenge to use die cuts or punches:
Stamps: Great Impressions plant, A Muse grass, SU thanks
Paper: white cs, mixed media cs, scrap of kraft cs
Paper Size: A2
Ink: Memento Pear Tart, Archival Library Green, Distress Brushed Corduroy
Accessories: gesso, blue and green paint daubers, Dylusions dots stencil, embossing paste, scrap of text tissue paper, Lil Inker stitched circle, gel medium, Memory Box bird die, Fireworks Pear Tart spritz

Susan, what an amazing transformation from the test page I left behind. The colours are just so pretty, I love the muted tones behind the gorgeous stamps and the die cut bird.

Susan Bri, this is gorgeous. Christine mentioned last week that you and she met to stamp/paint. How lucky to have a fellow stamper near by. What you've created here is artistic genius. It's just beautiful on so many levels.
