This is my card for the MMTPT 353 challenge "Color My World". Our cards are going to fellow Splitcoaster catgondek. Cathy has had to severely curtail her crafting due to carpal tunnel surgeries on both of her hands. We were instructed to bring lots of color!
The image was stamped twice on fairly light watercolor paper and palette painted using Distress inks. It was one of two colored images in my stash; the other is enclosed for Cat to use on a card.
I sprayed the back of the image with adhesive, stuck it on a piece of craft foam and weighted it with a heavy book to be certain it adhered well. I left it for about an hour and the die cut the piece and adhered it to the card front with spray adhesive also. Repeated the process with the book.
I added the die cut sentiment (designed by Dini, by the way!) and then went a bit overboard with sequins. In retrospect, about half that many would have been sufficient. I hope Cat likes sparkly!
As always, thanks for looking!

Really pretty card Jody! I like the way you popped up the image..thanks for including the instructions. I don't think there are too many sequins...they're not super bright so they don't detract from the painting but rather enhance it ;)

I love how soft and beautiful you painted this one and what a beautiful wash in the background! It's just the perfect hint of color for your flowers! Your sequins match beautifully so no, I don't think it's too many at all! They blend so well with your artwork.

This is wonderful, Jody. I love the way the image looks when you stamp it twice. The light wash of color is so pretty and the sequins are the perfect touch. What a pretty card.

These pastel hues of pink and green make for a fabulous garden of flowers to send to Cathy. The pale wash in the background makes sure that those flowers are noticed, especially with the sequins, and NO, there are never too many sequins when cheering someone up!!! Awesome card, Jody!

Jody, thank you so much for sharing your art with me. I have been feeling a little down lately and your cheery card and extra bits surely put a smile on my face.
