Happy Tuesday... Here is my card for today's tea potter challenge "colour my world" and this weeks colour challenge - crushed curry, tangerine tango, melon mambo and desert - green. This week our destination is Florida. If you would like a destination for your card, how about sending it to Teapotterville resident Catgondek. Cathy e-mailed me a while back to let me know that she wouldn't be around for awhile. Cathy has carpal tunnel surgery on both hands a couple of months ago and is only to do fine motors skills for about 1 hour a day... like colouring or knitting. We are sending her some bright, cheery happy mail.
I coloured a large acrylic block randomly with melon mambo, crushed curry and tangerine tango - spritzed block with water and stamped onto bristol vellum card stock. Let dry, then coloured the flowers with the same three colours, spritzed with water and stamped overtop of the acrylic block panel. added the stems and leaves. Stamped on the sentiment. Stamped over some areas with the itty bitty backgrounder dots using tangerine tango. Created the ribbon butterfly - used a scrap of orange gingham. Added the rhinestone body - and drew in the feelers with black sharpie marker. Added the 3 little rhinestones to the flower bases. Inked up the edge with melon mambo. Matted with crushed curry textured card stock. Made the base panel with two different do's. Matted with CC. Assembled the card.

I love the bg with the colors done in a subtle way and then the petals in a deep version...so pretty! Cute little ribbon accent in the corner...this will bring a smile to Cathy.
