Oh Dear - this was a challenge - what was I thinking when I started!!
I love mermaids and everything to do with the sea. This is a new Tattered Lace die. They are beautiful and cut so nicely. Then what to do with it. First of all I dissected the die into pieces - tail, body, flowers and bikini shells and hair. Then I sponged them with distress inks. I then had to cut out another couple of plain mermaids. I had to layer the tail with a colour underneath (lots of cutting and gluing) and then put everything back on top of a plain die cut. Fiddly, fiddly, fiddly. Then on top of everything I realised that she didn't have a face - and I hate things without faces - so I had to draw one on - though the eye make up is a bit heavy - she must be a mermaid from the sixties. I die cut the shells and sponged them with distress inks too. The background is a gelli plate in aqua with gold speckles in it.
CAS323 - M - Mermaid
A - For lots of aqua
Y - For yellow.
Touch of green in the seaweed.
CC529 - There is Melon Mambo, Tangerine Tango and Crushed Curry - as near to the colours and I could match.
Well that is my afternoon's work - dinner will be late tonight.
All I can say is - Sailors - Beware of this Cutie.

Because of your awesome detail work I'm feeling a bit enabled ;) and I may need to go search for that awesome die! Your color gives the scene a bright tropical feel.
