I received these sweet birds for my birthday - thank you, Lorraine! I've coloured them to look like little baby bluetits, and am sending this to an aunt who loves birds, and who has been suffering declining health after a fall just before Christmas.
Flowers were stamped on some DIY orange paper from my scrap box, and after cutting them out I sponged the edges with a darker orange. Birds and bough coloured with Inktense pencils. I looked through quite a lot of paper for a base layer, and chose this because it picked up on the green leaves and adds a feeling of Spring showers. As I had added a green border round the bird panel, I also used a green border on the base. Sentiment was stamped with the splash from French Foliage, to pick up on the background paper.

Again, I am speechless. This is just lovely. I love the shade of green that you used for the border. The out of the box technique is so nice with this image and the hints of gold are a wonderful touch. This reminds me of a painting that hung in the dining room of my home growing up. It was similar birds on a cherry blossom branch with touches of that lavender color. Happy memories.

Delightful sign of spring and this layout with the "frame" to make the birds stand out so well. The tiny touches of gold, backed by the lavender and green layers, give your card a beautiful background - your aunt will really love this!!
