I can't get enough of the watercolors that Mimi Jourdain does on the Penny Black blog (she also posts her gorgeous cards in this gallery too), and tried to emulate her style with this card. Started with masking fluid splats on wc cs and then stamped the image and painted away. You rub off the white splats when you are done. The masking fluid is hard to control, and so I ended up with more white splats than I wanted but hopefully I will get better at controlling them in the future. I should have called it Poppies in a Blizzard! I also splatted some of the distress orange combo. Created a frame with my stitched rectangle dies and this is popped up, giving the card a look of a framed painting.

I love your rich deep colours! The splatters give your piece such a great movement and sense of sparkling light! I really like the simple framing you used. This is a gorgeous card!

Wow ... amazing watercolouring Maura. Love the splatters made with the masking fluid. Have some, but haven't used it much, need to try again! I have a hard time waiting for it to dry!
