Finally made it to the farm with this card for Carol!! Oh well, things are laid back in the farming world, so this will just stretch out the cards Carol is receiving to give her inspiration for her writing!! Read her story HERE . This is a rather calm looking side of farm life, but for the fact that the rooster wakes the entire household up at the crack of dawn!
I combined Carol's card with a card I cased from this week's new Featured Stamper, Francie, aka f.schles, shown HERE Francie's gallery is totally amazing and she always leaves very encouraging comments to everyone. It sure took a while to check out her gorgeous gallery! I have not decided whether or not to add a sentiment yet, since it is going to Carol in NC.
I pretty much cased the sketch except since my image was shorter and wider, I added the rick rack strip across the card, instead of just on the button strip to fill in the space.
Thanks for looking and have an awesome week!!

This is wonderful, Sue! Your coloring is fantastic, and I love the papers you used! Awesome buttons, and the wide rick rack is a great touch! I'm sure Carol will love it!

Oh Sue, this is just so beautiful. The papers you chose are perfect. They just have that comforting feeling of something that is old and worn (in a positive way - not like something that you need to toss out). You colored the image so well. Those buttons are great and the rick rack is the perfect touch. Thank you so much for playing in the challenge.

Sue, I just love the muted colors on this one! The buttons are super! It's not only perfect for Carol but what a wonderful tribute to Francie too! The added rickrack looks awesome!

Oh yay, I'm glad I decided to check out last week's gallery one more time, so I didn't miss this. I love the rustic feel with the background paper and the ric-rac and buttons. Your rooster makes me think of holidays in Greece - it seems to me that every time we have stayed there, there are always a lot of roosters in the neighbourhood and consequently a very noisy and prolonged dawn chorus, at far too early an hour when one is on holidays! But this will certainly be peaceful for Carol!
