This was a quick card inspired by a scallop framelit card I saw on Shelli Gardner's blog recently....made me order the scallop framelit and then I HAD to use it, right?
So...Take a piece of black c/s and a piece of Sweet Taffy DSP and run them both thru the Scallop framelit (same time or separately is fine as long as they cut thru completely) then using the 2 way glue pen or Tombo mono adhesive glue the black "webbing" onto the turquoise cardstock. No need to coat the whole thing with adhesive, just back sure to get some glue on all of the edges and each of the scallop "joints" on the inside so it will remain adhered to the cardstock.
Once the black scalloped piece is attached, take the cut out pieces from the DSP Sweet Taffy and randomly stick them down with adhesive...I used Snail for this but 2 way glue pen would also work fine. Choose whatever random pattern you like....for most of the cards I made I used an every other line pattern and alterated the scalloped pieces so they were more zig zagged than in a straight downward row. You will have lots more pieces of DSP than needed so be sure to cut out two black pieces and make another card while you are in the process.
Once the pattern was finished, I attached the turquoise with scallop layer to a folded white card ...when there is so much going on with a cardfront it's good to keep thing simple for the rest of the card. Finished it off with a stamped greeting from Lovely Amazing You (love this set!) in Tangerine Tango (to coordinate with the DSP) on white cardstock and punched it out with the 1-3/4" circle punch, then layered it on a 2 3/8th" scallop punch layer in Basic Black. Attached that with a couple of dimensionals and voila! Card is all finished and ready for a note to be added inside.
